Accomodation

The spaces in Beechmont’s Guest Residence are generous and beautifully appointed.
The accommodation can sleep from 2-8.

There are abundant opportunities to find places in the gardens to while away time or set up for pre-dinner drinks.

A large undercover outdoor patio area near the entrance to the residence would be opportune. This area would also be suited for a casual BBQ, or there is a dedicated BBQ area.

2 dining areas: one with a rectangular table that seats up to 8, the other a round table to suit four guests.

2 lounge/living areas: both have picture windows with an outdoor vista. The smaller of the spaces is the most casual and great for sprawling on cushions in front of TV - or allocating as the games room. The main living area is sizable and beautifully furnished. It features parquetry flooring, one of two dining areas, an open fireplace, and a large coffee table stacked with wonderful books on art, history, gardens and travel.

The kitchen: fully equipped chef’s kitchen which includes 2 oversize ovens. It is large and services both lounge/living areas as well as another third ‘snug’ area in front of a Coonara heater.

4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms: will take up to 4 couples. The 2 largest bedrooms both have ensuite new bathrooms. Both these bedrooms have kingsize beds, one of which can be split if required. The third and fourth bedrooms at the other end of the residence contain Queen and Double sized beds.

The Seasons

Ask people in Melbourne what is their favourite season and they’re likely to say either Autumn or Spring. Beechmont is very much about seasonality and appreciating the moment so this garden offers up something for every season, and for every one.

Autumn

With mainly mature trees, Beechmont’s gardens in Autumn are gorgeous

Make the most too of visiting nearby nurseries and public gardens.

The Autumn colours are magnificent everywhere. The autumnal light at dusk in the mountains is magical, a golden glow.

Winter

Of course not everyone loves the cold that comes with the Winter season, however who ever said Winter was the worst season for a holiday or a get together wasn’t thinking about the spirit of adventure that comes with doing the unexpected.

Winter at Beechmont is something else - gumboots, gloves, scarves, beanies not to mention fires, rugs, hot chocolate, steaming porridge and roast dinners.

While the rain falls and the trees around the property whoosh in the wind this is the time to cosy up in front of the fire playing games, catching up on books never read, watching TV, surfing the Internet or inviting friends to stay over. Wintering at Beechmont is so, so much nicer than being in the City. BYO gumboots, beanies and scarves.

Spring

Beechmont’s gardens are at their peak in Spring- as they should.

The rains ease off and the days start to warm bringing with them new life.

Spring is such a bountiful time at Beechmont everything, from bulbs to previously bare trees,‘springs’ to life.
